THE STAR PERFORMERS OF THE ORIGIN SERIES DAY 1

Three exciting fixtures took place at Hull College Craven Park last Sunday and three very worthy men of the match received extra honours at the conclusion of their respective fixtures.

This is how the day unfolded for the Origin series day one

Under-11s East v West Man of the Match Archie Oglesby

Man of the match Archie Oglesby of Hull Wye was the star performer of the East v West match. Archie’s great efforts in attack and defence was a significant factor in the 38-4 victory over East of Hull

Under 14s East v West Man of the match - Freddie Watts

Another Hull Wyke star, Feddie Watts put on an incredible display of athleticism and leadership during the U14s East v West fixture. West of Hull finished comfortable 24-0 winners.

UNDER 18s Grand Final - Man of the Match Mason Palmer

The most exciting of the 3 fixtures saw the Under-18s of both West Hull and Skirlaugh locked in a 20-20 stalemate until Mason Palmer crashed over in extra time to win the game in Golden Point. Mason was a consistent threat in attack throughout the game and formidable in in defence. The trophy was presented by the family of Clive Sullivan
