THE FIRST COHDRL DEVELOPMENT DAY OF 2022 KICKS OFF THIS SUNDAY!
Under 12s from across our region will meet at Sewell Group Craven Park for the first COHDRL 9-a-side tournament of the year.
The rules (outlined below ) are designed to develop skills and teamwork.
GRM SPORT will be capturing cinematic highlights of the development day which will be shared on social media.
Rules:
There must be at least 2 passes every play (excluding kick returns) less than 2 passes will result in next tackle being the last.
Dummy pass counts as 1 pass and a kick will also count as a pass.
No scrums. When an infringement occurs that would normally results in a scrum, i.e a knock on or forward pass, play will restart with a play-the-ball at the point of infringement. If the ball enters touch, play is restarted with a play-the-ball 10m in field from where the ball entered touch.
When a team is awarded a penalty play must proceed from where the infringement took place. No kick for touch or goal is permitted.
Ball caught on the full in the in goal from a kick = 10m tap controlled tap restart on zero tackle - referee will mark where he judges the mark from the tap to betaken
No goal kicks
Team which concedes a try, restarts the game with the ball
Captains will “rock off” (rock, paper, scissors) to decide which team starts the game with the ball
14 minutes per game - 7 minute halves.

10am: kick off!
