UNDER 11s KICKSTART THE FIRST COHDRL DEVELOPMENT DAY OF 2023!

This Sunday Under-11s from across our region will meet at Hull KR’s training pitches (Sewell Group Craven Park) to take part in the first COHDRL Development Day of the year…

Timings and rules are as follows.:

Timings of the day

  • 9:30am - Coaches Meetings

  • 9:40am - Big group photo

  • 10am - First games kick off

COHDRL Under-11 Development Day Rules

  • 14 minutes per game (7 minutes each half, with a 2 minute half-time break)

  • Try= 4 points

  • Must be at least 2 passes each play (kick counts as a pass) if not, the next tackle will be the last

  • Back to zero if the ball is kicked through / over the defensive line and regathered by the kicker or one of his team mates

  • 4 tackles per set.

  • No goal kicks

  • The team which concedes the try restarts the game with a play the ball on the half-way line

  • Captains will “rock off” (rock, paper, scissors) to decide which team starts the match with the ball on the half-way line.

  • When a team is awarded a penalty, play must proceed from where the infringement took place, no kick for touch or goal is permitted

  • No scrums. When an infringement occurs that would normally result in a scrum. play will be restarted with a play-the-ball at the point of the infringement.

  • If the ball enters touch, play is restarted with a play-the-ball 10 meters in field from where the ball entered touch

  • Respect the referee at all times.
